Job summary

Stillwater Area Public Schools is seeking a Community Education Preschool Classroom Assistant for Lake Elmo. The role supports the classroom teacher in a preschool setting, with a schedule of Monday through Thursday 4.5 hours daily and Friday 6.5 hours, totaling about 24.5 hours per week.

The successful candidate will have experience with young children and be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Minimum qualifications include being at least 18 and having a high school diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or its GED equivalent.
• Desired candidate should have background/training in one or more of the following areas: child development, child guidance, human relations, communications and recreational programming.

Responsibilities

• Assist classroom teacher in a preschool classroom.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and comfortably get up and down from a sitting position on the floor.
