Job summary

CenClear Preschool is seeking a caring, dependable preschool assistant to support teachers and guide children ages 3-5 through daily activities. You’ll help with play, structured learning, and routines in a positive, supervised classroom environment.

This role offers paid training, no evening or weekend shifts, and opportunities to grow in early childhood education as part of a supportive classroom team at CenClear.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CDA Credential or willingness to obtain; CenClear pays for training.
• If no CDA, must pursue Highly Qualified training within 90 days of hire.
• Enjoy working with young children; be a team player; obtain required clearances before hire.

Responsibilities

• Support the classroom teacher and assist with daily preschool activities.
• Encourage positive behavior and social skills.
• Prepare classroom materials and keep things organized.
• Support children to feel safe and successful throughout the day.
• Assist with classroom coverage and daily routines as needed.
• Maintain open communication with supervisor and attend required trainings.

What You'll Be Doing

You'll help support the classroom teacher and assist with daily preschool activities like:

• Helping children learn through play and structured activities
• Encouraging positive behavior and social skills
• Preparing classroom materials and keeping things organized
• Supporting children throughout the day to help them feel safe and successful
• Assisting with classroom coverage and daily routines when needed
• Maintain open communication with your supervisor.
• Maintaining open communication with your supervisor
• Attending required meetings, on-the-job training (24 per training year), and supervision.
• Monitoring and responding to work email daily
• Practicing social responsibility through timely communication and follow-up
• Maintaining professionalism and confidentiality when handling information about CenClear staff, children, parents, consumers/clients, and families

What We're Looking For

• High School Diploma or G.E.D.
• Individuals must have or be willing to obtain the Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential with hire. This training is paid for by CenClear.
• If an individual does not have a CDA they must be willing to attend the Highly Qualified training while pursuing a CDA within 90 days of hire.
• Someone who enjoys working with young children
• Positive attitude and willingness to be a team player
• Ability to obtain required clearances prior to hire
