Job summary

Opportunities for Otsego's Head Start program in Schenevus, NY seeks a Classroom Aide to support teaching teams in addressing the physical, cognitive, and social-emotional needs of preschool children.

You will assist with preparation, activities, and cleanup, help bus pickups/drop-offs, and foster a welcoming environment with proper adult:child ratios while encouraging parent involvement. The role includes full-time hours 25–40 weekly, with school breaks and summers off.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED/HSED required.
• One year experience working with preschool children.
• Valid, unrestricted New York State driver’s license preferred.

This position has a PENDING HIRE.

Full-time positions work 25 hours/week to 40 hours/week depending on location. Substitutes work hours as needed by the program. Substitutes needed in Cooperstown, Morris, Oneonta, Richfield Springs, Schenevus, and Unadilla. Sites can vary from day today.

Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED/HSED; one year experience working with pre-school children; valid, unrestricted New York State driver’s license preferred.
