Job summary

College of Southern Nevada seeks a Child Care Worker I for the Early Childhood Education Lab to support preschool teachers and the program. The role requires maintaining safety, assisting in childcare, and supporting developmentally appropriate activities on campus in Las Vegas.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent and at least one year of experience with small children. The position follows a Monday–Friday schedule with a wage of $18.40 per hour, contingent on funding.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 1 year of experience working with small children in a preschool setting.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the health and safety of the children.
• Assist in the care and supervision of assigned group of children.
• Assist in maintaining a hazard free environment indoors and outdoors.
• Report maintenance and safety hazards immediately.
• Respond to emergencies per Emergency Procedures guidelines.
• Assist in developmentally appropriate program activities addressing all areas of development.
• Exhibit positive interactions with children, colleagues, families, and CSN stakeholders.
• Communicate with supervisor to facilitate program operation and resolve conflicts.
