The Children's Center of Brookline is seeking an experienced educator with EEC certification to join our team as Atelierista, our Art and Sensory Teacher. This position works alongside a creative and experienced team of educators which includes, three full-time team-teachers as well as 1-2 student teachers/interns. This is a full time (32-40 hours a week, this can be a 4 or 5 day a week) position, and includes a designated classroom and studio space, as well as daily care of the children within a teaching team.

This schedule includes a 45-minute paid break daily, a minimum of 2 hours of protected plan time weekly* (up to 6 hours of plan time per month can be completed from home), an additional 2 hours per month of team-meeting time, an additional 2 hours per month of paid ALL Staff meeting time

Our program draws inspiration from a variety of research-based philosophies including the work of the Reggio-Emilia schools in Italy, Waldorf Education, Montessori Education, and spends the majority of our day outdoors in our well-appointed outdoor classrooms in all kinds of weather. This position would design and maintain an indoor art/sensory studio-classroom, as well as our mud kitchen and small world play areas in our outdoor classroom. This position would spend equal teaching time both indoors and out!
