We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our Early Childhood Education team as an Associate Teacher. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute significantly to children's growth and development while supporting our mission to provide high-quality education and care.

Qualifications:
  • Semester units in ECE/CD with a grade C or better, or CDA Credential or CTC.
  • At least 6 months of related experience with children aged 0-5 years.
  • Possession of an Associate Teacher Permit or higher.
  • HS/EHS/MSHS/State-Braided Associate Teachers must meet at least one of the following:
    • Hold a CDA credential or California equivalent at the time of hire, including 12 ECE semester units (core courses); for EHS and infant/toddler classrooms, 6 infant/toddler semester units are also required.
    • OR be enrolled in a CDA credential program to be completed within 2 years.
    • OR hold an associate or bachelor's degree (any field) or be enrolled in a program leading to such a degree.
  • Depending on the department, a valid California driver’s license, current DMV record, and proof of insurance may be required for job-related travel. Reasonable accommodations will be considered as per applicable laws.
Responsibilities as an Associate Teacher:
  • Provide care and education for children aged 0-5, ensuring positive and engaging learning experiences.
  • Collaborate with the Center Supervisor and Teachers to plan and execute developmentally appropriate activities.
  • Take on Teacher responsibilities in their absence, guiding instructional assistants, parents, and volunteers.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and nurturing environment.
  • Assist in planning and implementing educational activities that promote child development.
  • Participate in physical activities with children, including games, music, and outdoor play.
  • Assist with bus supervision to ensure safety during transportation.
  • Complete pediatric first aid and CPR training within the first 30 days of hire.
  • Complete 16 hours of training on preventative health practices and nutrition within the first 30 days, as required by law.
