We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our Early Childhood Education team as an Associate Teacher. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the growth and development of children while supporting our mission of providing high-quality education and care.

Qualifications:

  • Semester units in ECE/CD, with a grade C or better, or CDA Credential or CTC.
  • At least 6 months of related experience with children ages 0-5 years.
  • Associate Teacher Permit or higher.
  • For HS/EHS/MSHS/State-Braided Associate Teachers, at least one of the following:
    • Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or California equivalent at hire (12 ECE semester units including core courses; infants/toddlers require 6 additional semester units).
    • Enrolled in a CDA credential program to be completed within 2 years.
    • Possess an associate or bachelor's degree (any field) or be enrolled in a degree program.

Additional Requirements:

  • Valid CA driver’s license and reliable insured vehicle for work use.
  • Provide DMV printout and proof of auto insurance.

As an Associate Teacher, your responsibilities include:

  • Providing care and education for children ages 0-5, ensuring positive and engaging experiences.
  • Collaborating with supervisors and teachers to plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities.
  • Assuming teacher responsibilities in their absence, supporting instructional assistants, parents, and volunteers.
  • Maintaining a safe, clean, and nurturing environment.
  • Assisting in planning and executing educational activities that promote child development.
  • Participating in physical activities, including games, music, and outdoor play.
  • Assisting with bus supervision to ensure safety and engagement during transportation.
  • Completing pediatric first aid and CPR training within the first 30 days of hire.
  • Completing 16 hours of training on health, safety, and nutrition within the first 30 days of hire, as required by law.
