Job summary

The Children's Learning Center in Madras, Oregon, is seeking a Preschool Assistant to support teachers in delivering Head Start-aligned curriculum for ages 3-5. You will help implement lesson plans, supervise activities, and ensure a safe, nurturing learning environment.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent required.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills required.
• Bilingual English and Spanish knowledge is preferred.
• Head Start and Early Head Start experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist the teacher in developing and utilizing curriculum plans reflecting mandated elements and promoting development.
• Assist teacher in establishing weekly lesson plans and inclusion of Head Start components.
• Maintain safe and healthy classroom environment and perform janitorial duties as assigned.
• Observe and record children's behaviors to support individualized development goals.
• Assist with daily routines including meals, hygiene, and transitions between activities.
• Support families through communication and involvement activities.
