Job summary

The New School Montessori is seeking an enthusiastic After-School Assistant Teacher to support the Lead Teacher in a playful, Montessori environment for Preprimary students. This part-time role focuses on transitions from the regular school day into after-school activities, snack time, outdoor play, and classroom experiences, with hours from 2:30 p.m.

to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, paid at $20 per hour.

Role Description

The After-School Assistant Teacher supports the Lead Teacher in maintaining a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children in our Preprimary program. This position primarily supports children during the transition from the regular school day into our after-school program.

The Assistant Teacher will help create a positive and peaceful afternoon experience for children by supporting end-of-day routines, snack, outdoor play, classroom activities, and other afternoon experiences.

The After-School Assistant Teacher will help support the school’s extended day (X-Day) program. This position is part time position. The hours are from 2:30 am - 5:30 pm Monday - Friday and the pay is $20 per hour.
