Job summary

Destiny Christian Academy’s Rocklin Preschool is seeking an Assistant Teacher to support children aged 2-3 in daily activities, ensuring safety and adherence to program procedures. The role emphasizes being a reliable witness for Christ and working closely with a supervising teacher.

Applicants should have at least one year of experience with preschoolers and a permit or the ability to obtain one within 90 days. Flexibility to assist infant/toddler programs as needed is valued.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year paid or volunteer experience with preschool-age children.
• Ability to obtain Child Development Assistant Teacher Permit or higher within 90 days of hire.
• Ability to develop cooperative working relationships with coworkers and to relate well to all preschool-age children.
• Ability to support in the infant/Toddler program if needed.
• Must be able to bend or squat to attend to children’s needs, sit on the ground, lift up to 45 lb, and assist in emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Keep children safe and accounted for.
• Maintain behavior standards.
• Complete routine paperwork.
• Provide first aid and accident/injury reports as necessary.
• Greet and monitor adults as they pick up children.
• Assist in daily clean up and closing of the program.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervising teacher.
