Job summary

Guadalupe Centers in Kansas City, MO is seeking a dedicated Early Childhood Assistant for the 7am–4pm shift. The position is non-exempt and pays $19.10 per hour, with benefits and growth opportunities within our ECC program.

You will support planning and implementing an engaging curriculum, foster a safe, inclusive classroom, and collaborate with families and staff to promote children's development and family engagement.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required.
• Preschool CDA credentials are required.
• Associate’s degree in Early Childhood or related with 9 hours EC preferred.
• Current Certificate in Early Childhood Education.
• TB test and FBI MO fingerprint clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Promote children's social, emotional and physical development per Head Start philosophy.
• Assist in planning and developing an early learning curriculum with social-emotional focus.
• Collaborate respectfully with all program staff.
• Assist with lesson plans and daily activities indoors and outdoors.
• Demonstrate knowledge of early childhood development theories.
• Support individualized learning to enhance cognitive and language skills.
• Maintain a learning environment aligned with education, health and safety standards.
• Observe and document each child’s learning for DRDP data collection.
