Job summary

Drake University Head Start and Early Head Start programs seek a Program Coordinator 3 to assist in curriculum development and classroom support for children birth to age five. The role includes light cooking, direct interaction with children, and occasional home visits at the Southridge site.

Responsibilities cover health and safety, documentation, and compliance with Head Start standards, with opportunities for professional growth and tuition-related benefits as part of Drake’s employment

Qualifications

• High School diploma required.
• Ability to obtain Preschool CDA credential within two years of hire.
• Access to reliable transportation to get to work daily and to be insured by the University's carrier.

Responsibilities

• Support Lead Teacher with development, implementation, and evaluation of preschool curriculum and practice.
• Assist with health, safety, and nutrition activities per Head Start requirements.
• Document and maintain confidential records and CACFP paperwork as needed.
• Travel for business within Head Start service area and participate in professional development.
• Represent Drake University and Head Start in a professional manner while maintaining confidentiality.
