Job summary

St. Thomas More Preschool in Austin, TX is seeking a part-time Assistant to support teachers and engage with preschool students during the Monday-Thursday schedule from 9 am to 2 pm.

Qualifications

• Patience in lovingly meeting young learners' spiritual, academic, behavioral, social, and emotional needs.
• Love for and interest in early childhood development.
• Experience working with preschoolers is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Help implement a meaningful learning experience; assist the classroom teacher.
• Follow lesson plans to create a cohesive learning experience.
• Manage the classroom to encourage participation and a positive environment.
• Supervise students in and out of the classroom, including playground and cafeteria.
• Assist in setting up and cleaning the classroom.
• Participate in required training (e.g., 24 hours of continuing education).
• Assist with daily cleaning of the classroom.
• Other duties as assigned
