Job summary

Spanish Schoolhouse LLC in Pearland, TX seeks a Preschool Assistant Director to train and coach teaching staff, delivering SSH's standard of academic excellence and an engaging classroom experience. You will onboard teachers, ensure compliance with state regulations, supervise lesson plan implementation, and foster staff morale while maintaining SSH's love of language and culture.

This role supports the Director with hiring, training, and special projects, with a Monday–Friday daytime schedule

Qualifications

• Some college credit hours in child development and at least 1 year of licensed child-care center experience.
• Three years of teaching experience in a licensed child-care center.
• Spanish fluency required; conversational English proficiency is necessary

Responsibilities

• Compliance: Support the Director in ensuring school operations comply with all state/local regulations.
• Hiring: Help interview, select, and place great talent.
• Training & Onboarding: Delivers onboarding and ongoing training to all teaching staff.
• Classroom Management: Ensure SSH Way and Love & Logic in behavior management; assist with discipline.
• Classroom Instruction: Review lesson plans; ensure SSH curriculum is implemented; monitor materials and show songs/dances.
• Teacher Engagement: Support Director to boost staff morale; participate in meetings and recognition programs.
• Ad Hoc Duties: Support Director and Office Manager with coverage and special projects
