Job summary

The Learning Experience in Williamsburg, VA is seeking an Assistant Center Director to partner with the Center Director, overseeing daily operations and driving growth.

You will lead with passion for early childhood education, ensure safety and compliance, and manage records, inventory, and vendor relations while promoting a collaborative atmosphere for families and staff.

Qualifications

• Two+ years of center leadership/management experience (highly preferred) or at least one year (required).
• Know Virginia Program Director requirements and any state-specific guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example with passion for kids and staff, fostering trust and inclusivity.
• Ensure center health and safety SOPs and licensing compliance.
• Maintain student/family records per procedures and local/state rules.
• Manage inventory, supplies, curriculum, and staff recognition items.
• Oversee vendor relationships for facility maintenance and tech support.
• Drive enrollment growth and retention through marketing and tours.
• Manage accounts receivable/payable and organize community events.

As the Assistant Center Director at The Learning Experience, You Will:

• Lead by example, displaying passion for making a positive impact on the lives of children and employees. Create an environment of trust, rapport, and inclusivity, easily connecting with diverse groups of people.
• Ensure that the physical center environment adheres to health and safety standard operating procedures, maintaining full compliance with local and state licensing regulations.
• Maintains physical and electronic filing systems for student and family records with accuracy and in compliance with TLE operating procedures following local and state regulations
• Manages center inventory: office supplies, food, curriculum, staff recognition items, etc.
• Manages vendor relationships including facility maintenance and technology support
• Drive consistent business results, measured through family retention and conversion, enrollment growth, and efficient business operations.
• Manage accounts receivable and payable.
• Engage prospective families through both in-person and virtual center tours, effectively showcasing the benefits of our program. Organize and execute community marketing events to raise awareness and drive enrollment.

• Have two or more years of center leadership/management experience (highly preferred) or at least one year of center leadership/management experience (required).
• Meet Virginia's Program Director requirements, as well as any other state-specific guidelines for the role.
• Hold a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or a related field (highly preferred).
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of state licensing rules and regulations.
