Cadence Education in Phoenix is seeking a Preschool Teacher Assistant for aftercare from 12:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Join a team focused on a safe, nurturing environment and inclusive support for children with IEPs while maintaining licensing compliance.

Qualifications

• Ability to consistently follow safety procedures including food allergy processes and Safe Sleep practices.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a classroom team.
• Ability to read, write, and speak effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Support a positive and respectful classroom environment.
• Greet children and families daily and build welcoming relationships.
• Assist in recognizing and responding to developmental, behavioral, cultural, and learning needs, including following IEPs and behavioral plans.
• Support staff with planning and implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum and Cadence Signature Programs.
• Communicate professionally with families, coworkers, and leadership using Cadence-approved tools.
• Follow the Cadence Education Safety and Supervision Manual and report incidents as required.
• Assist with managing and reporting escalated child behaviors.
• Adhere to all Cadence Education policies and procedures in the Employee Handbook.
• Participate in required meetings, trainings, and professional development, which may occur outside normal hours.
