Job summary

The City of Folsom's Parks and Recreation Department is seeking a temporary, part-time Recreation Leader II – Preschool Aide to support the Community & Cultural Services Division. Under the direction of the Preschool Teacher, assist with daily curriculum for 3- to 4-year-olds and help lead activities.

Responsibilities include planning curriculum with the lead teacher, preparing materials, maintaining a safe environment, and providing warm customer service to families.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old or possess a high school diploma or GED.
• Some college in Early Childhood Education preferred.
• Minimum 1 year experience with preschool age children preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement curriculum alongside the lead teacher.
• Assist in group activities for children aged 3-4 years, including arts and crafts.
• Prepare rooms and materials; maintain a clean, safe environment.
• Interact with children and participate in positive, professional customer service.
• Support relationships with coworkers and the public.
