Job summary

Bardmoor YMCA Preschool Academy in Largo, FL is seeking a Preschool Teacher Assistant to support teachers in delivering a safe, nurturing and engaging learning environment aligned with YMCA values. You will help implement the curriculum and lead activities that promote growth.

This part-time role offers 25 hours per week and pay ranging from $14.75 to $20.00 per hour, depending on experience. A proactive, team-oriented candidate will thrive here.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of MODS (Introductory Child Care Training, Part 1 & 2) is required.
• Experience working with preschool-aged children is a plus.
• Available to work Monday through Friday.
• Pre-employment drug test and Level 2 background screening required.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside Preschool Teachers to provide an enriching experience for children in the classroom.
• Help implement the curriculum in a way that promotes creativity and learning.
• Lead and facilitate interactive activities like games, arts and crafts, music, and storytelling to foster children's physical, social-emotional, and cognitive development.
• Support positive behavior by setting clear and consistent rules.
• Supervise meal times, outdoor play, and free play, ensuring the children's safety and well-being.
