SHI International Corp. is seeking a Pre-Sales Cybersecurity Solutions Engineer to support customers remotely from the Midwest US. The role focuses on designing, positioning, and articulating cybersecurity solutions across modern enterprise, hybrid, and cloud environments.

You will lead technical discovery sessions, assess architectures, and develop high-level architectures and proposals. 3+ years in cybersecurity pre-sales are required, with vendor certifications preferred.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity, pre-sales engineering, or solutions architecture.
• Experience supporting sales teams in a VAR, systems integrator, or technology provider environment.
• Strong email security knowledge (SEG, phishing defense, DLP, BEC) and security architectures.
• Ability to design and present scalable cybersecurity solutions.
• Relevant vendor or OEM cybersecurity certifications.

The Pre‑Sales Cybersecurity Solutions Engineer is a customer‑facing security professional who provides consultative technical support to customers and internal sales teams. This role focuses on designing, positioning, and articulating cybersecurity solutions that align with customer business objectives across modern enterprise, hybrid, and cloud environments.

This is a remote position required to reside in the Midwest region of the US as required for business needs and as determined by SHI management. Lead technical discovery sessions to understand customer business goals, security challenges, and technology environments.

• Assess customer security architectures and identify gaps, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
• SEG, API-based protection, phishing defense, and data protection) and develops high-level architectures, solution proposals, and supporting technical documentation.
• Design and recommend scalable cybersecurity solutions aligned to customer requirements and best practices.
• Provide technical enablement and security-focused training to internal sales teams.
• Presenting: Can design and deliver engaging presentations, adapting the content and style to suit the audience, context, and medium.
• Detail-Oriented: Can manage complex tasks or projects, identifying errors or inconsistencies, and ensuring all details are addressed, necessary corrections are made, and quality is maintained.
• Organization: Can effectively coordinate multiple projects, delegate tasks where appropriate, and employ advanced organizational tools and methods.
• Relationship Building: Can proactively seek out opportunities to expand networks, initiate collaborations, and contribute to team cohesion.
• Strong email security technologies knowledge, including but not limited to phishing and business email compromise (BEC) protection, secure email gateways (SEG), API-based email security solutions, data loss prevention (DLP), and advanced threat protection. - Ability to effectively communicate and sell complex technical products or services by understanding customer needs, articulating the value proposition, and providing technical expertise to support the sales process - Intermediate
• Expertise in email security solutions, including Proofpoint, Mimecast, Abnormal, and other industry-leading vendors, with exposure to broader data security platforms.
• Broad understanding of email and data security environments across cloud, on-premises, and hybrid architectures.
• Strong knowledge of cybersecurity domains such as identity, network security, endpoint protection, data protection, and security operations.
• Experience supporting sales teams in a VAR, systems integrator, or technology provider environment.
• Strong presentation skills, including the ability to deliver live or virtual demonstrations.
• Exceptional relationship‑building skills and passion for technology.
• Strong documentation skills, including system and network diagrams and customer‑facing presentations.
• Relevant vendor or OEM cybersecurity technical or professional certifications

3+ years of experience in cybersecurity, pre‑sales engineering, or solutions architecture.

Relevant Industrial or Relevant OEM Cyber Security Technical or Professional certifications

The estimated on-target earnings, or OTE, which includes a base salary and bonus, are $120,000 - $230,000. Benefits may include, but are not limited to, medical, vision, dental, 401K, and flexible spending.
