Job summary

Vertiv Corporation is seeking a Presales Engineering Manager to lead a multidisciplinary team in delivering modular and hybrid data center solutions. You will translate customer requirements into buildable designs, partner with Sales, and guide projects from concept through execution.

This role emphasizes leadership, technical excellence, and strong communication with customers and partners. You will mentor engineers, improve tools and processes, and help shape Vertiv's data center solutions for

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of relevant engineering experience, preferably in data centers, critical infrastructure, modular construction, or related industries.
• Experience leading or coordinating multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Strong understanding of data center design, systems, and architecture.
• Ability to interpret technical specifications, customer requirements, drawings, and applicable codes and standards.
• Strong customer-facing communication and presentation skills.
• Demonstrated leadership, coaching, and team-development capabilities.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; AutoCAD experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a multidisciplinary Presales Engineering team supporting modular and hybrid data center and power room projects.
• Develop and coordinate integrated solutions across electrical, HVAC, architectural, civil, controls, monitoring, and fire protection disciplines.
• Review customer specifications, tender documents, drawings, and technical requirements and translate them into effective design solutions.
• Partner with Sales and customers to develop and present technical concepts and proposals.
• Coordinate technical interfaces with customers, suppliers, manufacturing, and project teams.
• Review engineering deliverables for quality, accuracy, and compliance with project requirements and applicable standards.
• Identify technical risks and develop creative, cost-effective solutions.
• Improve engineering tools, standards, processes, and workflows.
• Mentor and develop engineers, establish performance objectives, and support career growth.
• Support the transition of awarded projects from Presales into detailed design and execution.
