Kinly is seeking a Presales Consultant — Audio Visual to join our remote US team. You will lead design and specification efforts across AV, endpoints and infrastructure, interfacing with clients, architects and project teams. The role emphasizes documenting requirements, shaping solutions and delivering compelling proposals. A strong AV background and CTS certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• Proven pre-sales engineering experience with AV solutions.
• CTS certification required; CTS-D desirable.
• Experience with Teams, Zoom, WebEx; CAD/Visio tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support to the sales team in a timely, thorough manner.
• Interface with clients and sites to document requirements and conditions.
• Collaborate with clients, architects, consultants, and staff during design, development and delivery.
• Create customer designs based on requirements and site conditions.
• Influence customers and internal teams to reach mutually beneficial outcomes.
• Understand customer pain points and relay findings to stakeholders.
• Ensure issue resolution by coordinating with the assigned team.
• Respond to complex technical questions and RFIs/RFPs with clear answers.
• Develop Bills of Materials and Statements of Work for each job.
• Create system design sketches and diagrams and narrative on capabilities.
• Prepare accurate job cost estimates.
• Coordinate multiple design projects effectively.
• Interpret various formats of technical docs and drawings.

Role:Presales Consultant — Audio Visual

Location: Remote, US

Contract: Full-Time, Permanent

Hours: 40 hours per week

Salary: $120,000 – $130,000 per annum (depending on experience), plus Bonus & benefits including: health, vision/dental insurance; disability, vacation, sickness, 401K

Due to further growth, we have an opportunity for a proven AV Presales Consultant to join our highly collaborative Consultancy team.

The Design Engineer (Presales Consultant) will require deep and broad technical knowledge in the Video Conferencing industry and will be an expert in AV, endpoint, and infrastructure hardware and software from AV, cloud, and Video Conferencing manufacturers.

This pre-sales position requires the ability to architect optimized solutions for a wide range of customer requirements and so the candidate must have experience in designing solutions and the ability to convey their expertise to clients with a high level of competence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide engineering support to the sales team in a comprehensive, thorough, detailed, and time-sensitive manner
• Interface intensively with clients and job sites to document customer requirements and job site conditions
• Work directly with clients, architects, consultants, and staff throughout the design development and delivery process with the support of the Lead Design Engineer
• Provide and document customer design based on client requirements and job site conditions
• Influence internal and external customers to achieve mutually desirable outcomes
• Understand customer pain points and make recommendations to internal parties and customers
• Ensure resolution of any problems by working closely with the assigned team
• Regularly communicate answers to complex questions and respond to detailed inquiries about technical issues
• Develop Bill of Materials and Statement of Work for each job based on system design and customer requirements
• Develop system design drawing sketches, including audiovisual system diagram flows, Design/Build and Bid/Build specifications, and operational capabilities narratives
• Develop accurate job cost estimates for each job
• Provide technical responses to customer RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs
• Effectively coordinate and manage multiple system design projects
• Correctly interpret multiple formats of technical specifications, schematic drawings, and architectural diagrams

Skills & experience

• Proven experience working in a pre-sales engineering role
• Technical certifications in the Audio Visual industry – InfoComm CTS certification, with Advanced CTS-D certification desirable/ AV industry manufacturer certifications are also desirable, but not essential
• Experience with collaboration technologies such as Teams, Zoom, and WebEx
• Demonstrated or potential proficiency in using AutoCAD, Visio, or similar diagrammatic software tools
• Proficiency in video network infrastructure commissioning and support processes
• Knowledge of video and audio conferencing service standards
• High levels of professionalism and integrity
• Strong ability to collaborate with peers
