Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in prepress production, print operations, or a related technical print environment.
• Working knowledge of page transmission systems and troubleshooting production/output issues.
• Strong attention to detail to monitor pages under deadline pressure.
• Experience with pagination systems such as Methode and NewswayX is preferred.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with editorial staff and photo editors.
• Strong time-management skills to prioritize complex work under tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Manage transmission of pages to all print sites and troubleshoot transmission systems.
• Maintain communication with print sites regarding production updates and page adjustments.
• Monitor pages for technical errors and quality issues and recommend corrective actions.
• Track production times and maintain detailed reports.
• Foster collaboration with editorial staff and photo editors to ensure high-quality delivery.
• Build and maintain page plans within production systems per editorial specs.
• Stay current with workflows, procedures, and emerging prepress technologies.
• Suggest process improvements to enhance production efficiency.
