Job summary

BATAVIA CONTAINER INC. in Batavia, IL is seeking a detail‑oriented Prepress Operator responsible for maintaining control over all internal print plates, cutting dies, and inks.

The role oversees inventory and maintenance of the prepress area, lifting up to 50 lbs, and using a scissor lift, forklift, and golf cart on a production floor. You will mount and repair printing plates, stage samples for daily runs, ensure clean storage, and communicate with departments via Slack and Monday.com.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the ordering of all inks, bases and additives.
• Mount and repair printing plates to maintain production schedule.
• Stage printing plates and samples for daily production runs.
• Maintain clean and organize storage area.
• Oversee daily handling of incoming plates and inventory.
• Communicate via Slack and Email to all departments; use Monday.com for projects.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by Plant Manager.
