Job summary

Batavia Container, Inc. is seeking a diligent operator on the 2nd shift responsible for controlling print plates, cutting dies, and inks. The role includes overseeing prepress inventory, mounting/unmounting plates, and coordinating with multiple departments to ensure timely production.

Responsibilities emphasize itemized inventory tasks, adherence to safety procedures, and efficient workflow on the production floor. High school education required; corrugated industry knowledge preferred.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent; corrugated experience preferred.
• Basic mechanical skills required.
• Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
• Customer service oriented with good communication skills.
• Willingness to participate in training and follow safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Oversee ordering of inks, bases, additives and related consumables.
• Order die mounting supplies and office supplies for pre-press group.
• Mount and repair printing plates to maintain production schedule.
• Stage plates and samples for daily production runs.
• Maintain clean, organized storage areas and inventory documentation.
• Coordinate with vendors and internal teams via Slack and Monday.com.
• Perform duties assigned by Plant Manager.
