Job summary

Mittera Group Inc is seeking a detail-driven Prepress Technician to ensure every project is press-ready and color-perfect from screen to print. You will prepare client files for press layouts, create layouts for specific presses, and image plates as scheduled, using Kodak Preps and plate setters.

Proficiency with Adobe Acrobat and InDesign helps adapt files to client requests. Responsibilities include handling job tickets, producing proofs, and communicating issues in writing to the department.

Qualifications

• Experience in Prepress or Graphic Arts preferred but not required.
• Ability to communicate with Customer Service and Pressroom.
• Ability to interpret instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Responsibilities

• Image plates according to job specs.
• Read a job ticket for Prepress & Print Production.
• Create/build layouts for specific presses.
• Prioritize tasks based on daily schedule.
• Edit customer files as needed.
• Create PDFs for customer approval.
• Output proofs with large format proofers.
• Troubleshoot equipment to keep machines running.
