Job summary

GPA Global, a packaging and gifting company, is seeking an experienced Prepress Manager in the United States. You will lead the Prepress department, maintain the GPA QMS, and ensure high-quality packaging artwork for client projects.

You will manage multiple projects and personnel, optimize RIP workflows, and troubleshoot asset issues while collaborating with clients and internal teams to deliver accurate, timely, and sustainable print-ready files.

Qualifications

• 15+ years prepress management experience.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and personnel simultaneously.
• Advanced knowledge of Adobe CC software and modern RIP workflows.
• Ability to troubleshoot and correct faults in supplied digital assets.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Apply and maintain the GPA QMS.
• Oversee and daily manage Prepress department and personnel.
• Maintain Prepress workflow, software, and hardware.
• Implement and maintain the following procedures.
• Process digital assets through Prinergy RIP workflow.
• Press layout for packaging using Preps imposition software.
• Proofing, including soft (PDF) and physical proofs for customer ok.
• Platemaking, screens for UV treatments and DIE line creation for DIE cutting, foil stamping and embossing.
• Daily Press schedules of approved projects for printing.

Production Responsibilities:

• Responsible for application and maintenance of the GPA QMS
