Job summary

Sir Speedy Longwood is seeking a detail-oriented Prepress Specialist to join our production team in Longwood, FL. This role ensures customer artwork is prepared, accurate, and production-ready before going to printing and finishing equipment.

You will review files for small- and large-format projects, fix issues, and prepare layouts and bleed settings. The position offers full-time hours, a Monday–Friday schedule, and pay of $18–$20 per hour, with benefits for eligible employees.

Qualifications

• Previous prepress, print production, or related experience.
• Strong knowledge of CMYK, RGB, PMS/spot colors, resolution, and print specs.
• Experience preparing files for commercial digital printing and wide-format work.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Review artwork for print readiness and production accuracy.
• Preflight and prepare files for small-format and large-format production.
• Check bleeds, margins, resolution, color modes, fonts, transparencies, and other file issues.
• Prepare files for digital printing of business cards, brochures, and more.
• Prepare large-format files for banners, signs, and graphics.
• Set up files with bleeds, cut paths, and finishing requirements.
• Create efficient print layouts, nesting, and impositions.
• Communicate with Customer Service and Production for clarifications.
• Identify production problems before the press to reduce waste.
