Job summary

Sir Speedy Longwood is seeking a detail-oriented Prepress Specialist to join our production team in Longwood, FL. You will ensure artwork is print-ready for both small- and large-format projects, reviewing files and making corrections before printing.

The role requires strong knowledge of the Adobe suite, meticulous attention to color, resolution, and finishing requirements, and the ability to work under deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Previous prepress, print production, or related experience.
• Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite applications.
• Understanding of CMYK, RGB, PMS/spot colors, and print specifications.
• Experience preparing files for commercial digital printing and wide-format printing.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Review incoming artwork for print readiness and production accuracy.
• Preflight and prepare files for small-format and large-format production.
• Check bleeds, margins, resolution, color modes, fonts, and image quality.
• Prepare files for digital printing (business cards, brochures, etc.).
• Prepare large-format files for banners, signs, and graphics.
• Set up files with bleeds, cut paths, and finishing requirements as needed.
• Create efficient layouts and nesting to maximize material usage.
• Assist with quality control and communicate with Customer Service when clarification is needed.
• Identify potential production issues before a job reaches the press.
