Job summary

Express Print is a graphic design firm seeking a Graphic Designer / Pre-Press Specialist with hands-on pre-press experience in a commercial printing environment. You will ensure print-ready artwork and PDFs, perform preflight checks, and fix issues before production.

Proficiency in PitStop Pro within Acrobat Pro, Illustrator, and Photoshop is required. Applicants should know bleed, trim, color separations, and image resolution, to deliver production-ready files for digital and large-format

Qualifications

• Must know how to prepare professional print-ready PDF files.
• Must be experienced in using PitStop Pro inside Adobe Acrobat Pro.
• Check and correct bleed, trim size, page size and margins.
• Check CMYK / RGB / Spot Colour issues.
• Check image resolution.
• Check fonts, embedded fonts and outlined text.
• Detect and fix artwork/preflight errors.
• Check overprint, transparency and colour separation issues.
• Add or correct bleed where required.
• Resize and adjust customer artwork according to final printing size.
• Prepare cutting lines / die-cut paths where required.
• Preflight customer-supplied PDF artwork before production.
• Ensure files are correctly prepared for digital and large-format printing.
• Able to identify printing problems before files are sent for production.
