Job summary

RRD is seeking a pre-press professional to review client files and prepare layouts for printing. You will adjust formats to paper dimensions using desktop publishing tools, determine layouts with folds and bleeds, and add crop marks as required.

You will identify issues, coordinate with Customer Service and production staff, and help train new teammates while maintaining high quality standards.

Qualifications

• Proficient with common graphic design software on Mac/PC.
• Strong understanding of digital file formats (PDF/TIFF/EPS) from Mac/PC.
• Basic color management and ability to output to various devices; willing to learn new software.

Responsibilities

• Review client files for completeness before plate making.
• Manipulate print job formats to paper dimensions using desktop publishing software.
• Determine page layout with folds, trims, bleeds, and color bars; add crop marks as needed.
• Identify missing or problematic components and communicate with CS, customers and production teams.
• Collaborate with CS, customers, and production to resolve job issues.
