Job summary

cclcareers is seeking a Graphic Artist Mac Operator to support our internal production needs and customer expectations by preparing graphic files for proofing and printing plates.

The role requires using Mac-based production software (Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat, Esko/DeskPack/AE/WebCenter) and MS Office to manage preflight data, verify design intent, and produce accurate proofs and plates. Attention to detail and meeting production schedules are essential.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of prepress experience, especially with Adobe, Esko and Hybrid products.
• High School Diploma or higher in Graphic Design from an accredited school.
• Experience with preflight data, color separations, trapping and plate production.

Responsibilities

• Receive, organize, and review incoming graphics files.
• Create preflight data entries capturing production requirements.
• Verify artwork elements align with CCL requirements.
• Create color separations, apply trapping, and format barcodes.
• Use Mac-based production software (Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat, Esko/DeskPack/AE/WebCenter) to produce proofs & plates.
• Develop production artwork according to preflight notes & CCL requirements.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and equipment.
• Monitor the production schedule and workload to meet upcoming jobs.
