OPTI STAFFING IS HIRING! Assembly & Trim / Composite Technician Location: Warren, OR Pay: $20–$35+/hr. DOE Schedule: Monday–Friday | 6:30 AM–3:00 PM

Job Summary

The Composite Technician will perform a variety of hands-on manufacturing operations involving composite parts, tooling, and assemblies. Depending on experience and training, responsibilities may include trimming, sanding, bonding, assembly, prepreg layup, infusion processing, material handling, and assisting with oven or autoclave cure processes. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn specialized composite manufacturing processes.

What You’ll Do

Perform composite manufacturing operations including trimming, sanding, bonding, joining, and final assembly. Support prepreg layup and infusion processes for composite tools and parts. Assist with oven and autoclave cure cycles according to established procedures. Read and follow travelers, SOPs, drawings, specifications, work orders, and engineering documentation. Prepare tools, materials, and equipment for production. Safely handle composite materials and production equipment. Identify and select appropriate materials and supplies according to specifications. Maintain quality standards and ensure work meets established manufacturing requirements. Accurately document labor, materials, and process information. Inspect work for defects, inconsistencies, and quality concerns. Communicate technical issues, defects, or production risks to supervisors or engineering. Work closely with engineering, quality, and production teams to meet schedule commitments. Support continuous improvement and process development initiatives. Maintain a clean, organized, and FOD-free work area. Follow all company safety procedures and PPE requirements.

What You Need to Have

Previous manufacturing, fabrication, assembly, or composite experience preferred. Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail. Ability to read and follow detailed work instructions, travelers, work orders, drawings, and specifications. Ability to safely use a variety of hand tools. Ability to identify and select materials and supplies according to specifications. Strong focus on quality, accuracy, and craftsmanship. Effective verbal communication skills with supervisors and coworkers. Ability to listen, ask questions, and seek clarification when needed. Dependable and able to follow direction. Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines. Comfortable working independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Ability to wear required PPE. Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. with assistance.
