Job summary

Caraluzzi's Markets is seeking an experienced Prepared Foods team leader to oversee culinary operations in our Prepared Foods department in Connecticut. You will lead daily production, train staff, and ensure consistency with recipes, quality standards, and customer service.

The role requires at least 5 years in culinary/prepared foods and prior supervisory experience, with flexible schedules including evenings and weekends.

• Previous management or supervisory experience required.
• Strong culinary skills with knowledge of food preparation and production.

• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

• Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and workplace safety guidelines are followed.
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and efficient department.
• Assist with scheduling, training, and overall department management as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Position Overview

Caraluzzi's Markets is seeking a motivated and experienced Prepared Foods team leader to lead and manage culinary operations within our Prepared Foods department. Our kitchens produce restaurant-quality entrées, appetizers, side dishes, rotisserie items, an extensive soup bar, and a comprehensive holiday and party catering program. The Prepared Foods team leader will oversee daily department operations, lead and develop associates, ensure quality and consistency in food production, and provide an exceptional customer experience.
