Job summary

Giant Eagle, Inc. in North Canton, OH is seeking a Prepared Foods Team Leader to guide the Prepared Foods Team across locations. You will coach Team Members, ensure smooth operation, and drive customer satisfaction with a focus on food quality and service.

You will supervise daily activities, mentor staff, plan operations, and maintain department performance in line with company standards. A background in retail leadership and a strong safety ethic are essential.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: Retail work experience or Store Leader recommendation.
• Experience Desired: Retail leadership or supervisory experience; Successful performance as a Peer Trainer, in-store champion, or other similar role.

Responsibilities

• Interview, select and train Team Members.
• Direct the work of Team Members.
• Appraise Team Members’ productivity and efficiency for promotions or changes in status.
• Handle Team Member issues including complaints.
• Discipline Team Members.
• Plan and distribute the work.
• Ensure safety and security of Team Members and the store.
• Manage department/store budget and inventory.
• Monitor and implement compliance measures.
• Provide training to reduce turnover and control labor costs.
• Motivate the team with respect and exemplary leadership.
• Identify strengths and opportunities and plan scheduling.
• Develop future leaders and promote diversity and inclusion.
• Maintain safety as a top priority across all work activities.
• Inspire passion for food and high service standards.
• Set and reach sales and profit goals while managing shrink.
