Job summary

Sam's Club in Sarasota, FL is seeking a Prepared Foods and Café Department Lead to drive sales and supervise hourly associates who prepare and serve meals for members. You will model expertise in Prepared Foods and Café and collaborate with other team leaders to meet member expectations.

The role involves leading a team across departments, maintaining quality and safety, leveraging digital tools for operations, and promoting staff development and process improvements.

Qualifications

• 6 months experience in a fresh production department or 6 months experience supervising a team.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Food Handler Certification - Certification (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Be a Team Leader supervising the team within all prepared foods departments, coordinating rotations through fresh areas and meeting business goals.
• Be an Expert with indepth knowledge of floor and backroom operations, ensuring quality, inventory, sanitation and safety.
• Be a Techie by using digital tools to plan for sales, training and product quality and encourage adoption of new tools.
• Be an Owner maintaining peak profitability, staffing, audit compliance and merchandising per layout plan.
• Be a Talent Ambassador by training team members and sourcing new talent.
