Job summary

Whole Foods Market Tempe seeks a Team Member for Prepared Foods to assist with hot and cold foods, counter service, sanitation, and stocking while delivering friendly, efficient service.

You will support team goals, follow SOPs, and participate in required trainings, with shifts including days, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed; wage range $16.00-$25.40 per hour, commensurate with experience.

Qualifications

• No prior retail experience required.
• Ability to sell proactively.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
• Ability to deliver information clearly to customers and teammates.

Responsibilities

• Cuts, prepares, and serves a variety of hot and cold foods such as meats, cheeses, sandwiches, burritos, wraps, salad, and pizza.
• Samples products to customers.
• Stocks hot and cold cases and displays with prepared foods from kitchen, walk-in prep, and refrigerators.
• Checks in-stock product dates to ensure freshness and rotates when necessary.
• Assists Team Leader in organizing and displaying volume and seasonal items.
• Completes spoilage, sampling, temperature, and sweep worksheets as required.
• Assists with periodic inventory checks.
• Arrives on time, groomed, and ready to work; attends required trainings and meetings.
• Provides excellent customer service and uses suggestive selling techniques; answers phones and pages promptly.
• Maximizes sales through proper prep, storage, rotation, stocking, and merchandising.
