Job summary

Whole Foods Market in Salem, NH is seeking a versatile Team Member to support preparation, counter service, sanitation, and stocking. You’ll deliver courteous, friendly, and efficient service, align with SOPs, and assist on the floor with customers and fellow Team Members.

You will handle labeling, dating, quality checks, waste documentation, and proper merchandising while following health and safety standards. Flexibility for nights, weekends, and holidays is required.

• Ability to prepare multiple recipes per shift based on batch size.

• Understand spoilage and waste and its impact on department profits.

Responsibilities

• Assists with production for all Prepared Foods venues.
• Ensures all prepared foods are labeled, dated, initialed, covered, and rotated.
• Ensures products meet WFM quality and preparation guidelines.
• Documents waste and spoilage using standard forms.
• Follow recipes accurately using correct measuring devices.
• Help customers understand differences between WFM and conventional products.
• Keep walk-ins and freezers clean and organized.
• Arrive on time, be well-groomed, and attend trainings.
• Provide excellent customer service and use suggestive selling techniques.
• Maximize sales via proper prep, storage, rotation, stocking, and merchandising.
• Follow health, safety, and sanitation procedures.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary work/shopping environment; care for equipment.
• Perform opening, mid, and closing duties and verify pricing accuracy.
• Report safety hazards and violations promptly.
