Job summary

Whole Foods Market IP. L.P. is seeking a Team Member for Prepared Foods operations. You will assist with production, labeling, rotation, and merchandising of products, while delivering friendly customer service and maintaining clean, sanitary work areas.

The role emphasizes accuracy, teamwork, adherence to health and safety regulations, and the ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays. No prior retail experience required at entry level and you will be trained.

Qualifications

• Must have thorough knowledge of products and merchandising principles.
• Ability to prepare up to batch-based recipes and manage portions.
• Capable of communicating market conditions and product differences to customers.
• Understand spoilage and waste and their impact on department profits.

Responsibilities

• Assist production for all Prepared Foods venues.
• Label, date, cover, and rotate prepared foods.
• Ensure products meet WFM guidelines for quality and preparation.
• Document waste and spoilage using appropriate forms.
• Follow recipes and use correct measuring devices.
• Help customers understand WFM products and differences from conventional stores.
• Maintain clean and organized walk-ins and freezers.
• Attend required trainings and meetings and be on time.
• Provide excellent customer service and practice suggestive selling; answer phones promptly.
• Maximize sales through proper prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising.
• Follow health, sanitation, and safety procedures; ensure cleanliness and safe equipment use.
• Perform opening, mid, and closing duties; ensure signs and pricing accuracy.
• Immediately report safety hazards and violations.
