Job summary

Whole Foods Market in Midlothian, VA is seeking a Team Member to support prepared foods operations, customer service, and merchandising. You will assist with production, labeling, dating, and rotation of products, while ensuring quality and compliance with health and safety standards.

You will help customers understand product differences, keep walk-ins and freezers organized, and maintain a clean, safe work environment.

Qualifications

• No prior retail experience required.

Responsibilities

• Assists with production for all Prepared Foods venues.
• Ensures all prepared foods are properly labeled, dates, initialed, covered, and rotated.
• Ensures product meets WFM guidelines for quality and preparation.
• Documents waste and spoilage using appropriate forms.
• Ensures product production is performed using correct measuring devices and all recipes are followed.
• Helps customers understand the difference between WFM products and products at conventional stores.
• Maintains clean and organized walk-ins and freezers.
• Arrives on time, groomed and ready to work; attends required trainings and meetings.
• Delivers excellent customer service and uses suggestive selling techniques; answers phones and pages promptly.
• Maximizes sales through proper prep, storage, rotation, stocking and merchandising.
• Follows procedures including Health & Safety standards and Weights & Measures.
• Maintains a clean and sanitary environment; maintains equipment per standards.
• Performs opening, mid, and closing duties; ensures pricing accuracy.
• Immediately reports safety hazards and violations.
