Job summary

Whole Foods Market in California is hiring for a Team Member to support prepared foods, maintain labeling, rotate products, and deliver friendly customer service. You will assist with production, ensure quality, and help customers understand WFM products in a fast-paced store environment.

Responsibilities

• Assists with production for all Prepared Foods venues.
• Ensures all prepared foods are properly labeled, dates, initialed, covered, and rotated.
• Ensures product meets WFM guidelines for quality and preparation.
• Documents waste and spoilage using appropriate forms.
• Ensures product production is performed using correct measuring devices and all recipes are followed.
• Helps customers understand the difference between WFM products and products at conventional stores.
• Maintains walk‑ins and freezers clean and organized.
• Arrives on time, groomed and ready to work; covers shifts and trainings.
• Provides excellent customer service and uses suggestive selling; answers phones and pages promptly.
• Maximizes sales through proper prepping, storing, rotating, stocking and merchandising.
• Follows procedures including Weights and Measures, health and sanitation, and safety.
• Maintains clean and sanitary work/shopping environment; maintains equipment per standards.
• Performs opening, mid, and closing duties; ensures signs and pricing are accurate.
• Immediately reports safety hazards and violations.
