Mother's Market & Kitchen in Irvine, CA is seeking a Prepared Foods Manager to lead the Kitchen, Deli, and Juice Bar, ensuring top quality, service, and operational excellence.

The role oversees teams, manages budgets, payroll, and vendor relations while maintaining food safety and customer satisfaction. The position offers $24/hour ($75,000/year) with benefits including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and in-store discounts. Weekend and varied shifts are required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years managing food service operations (3–5 preferred).
• High school diploma/GED required; culinary or hospitality diploma a bonus.
• Strong food safety knowledge and portion control.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk extensively.
• Able to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coach Kitchen, Juice Bar, and Deli staff across FOH and BOH.
• Hire, train, evaluate, and discipline team members to maintain high performance.
• Lead with a positive culture and provide constructive feedback.
• Ensure food prep meets portioning, plating, and presentation standards.
• Manage inventory, place orders, minimize waste, control food costs.
• Maintain sanitation, safety, and health compliance.
• Oversee budgets, labor expenses, and analyze variances.
• Maintain payroll records and POS reviews.
• Build strong vendor relationships and manage maintenance requests.
• Serve as primary contact for customer issues and resolve complaints.
