Job summary

Whole Foods Market is seeking a Team Member to perform food preparation for cold case, fresh pack, salad, and hot bars at our New York store. You will ensure quality, proper labeling, dating, and rotation while maintaining cleanliness and safety standards.

You will assist customers with friendly service, manage timely replenishment, and support store programs. The role requires walking, lifting up to 50 pounds, and flexibility for nights/weekends.

Responsibilities

• Prepares food items for the cold case, fresh pack, salad, and hot bars per production sheets.
• Prepares items according to recipes to ensure quality and consistency.
• Labels, dates, covers, and monitors freshness; rotates items.
• Monitors levels and replenishes in a timely manner.
• Arrives on time, groomed and prepared for shifts; attends trainings.
• Provides excellent customer service and uses suggestive selling when appropriate.
• Maximizes sales through proper prep, storage, rotation, stocking, and merchandising.
• Follows procedures for weights, measures, sanitation, and safety.
• Maintains a clean, sanitary work area and equipment.
• Completes opening, mid, and closing duties; checks pricing accuracy.
• Reports safety hazards or violations immediately.
• Performs additional duties as assigned by leadership.
