Westborn Market in Berkley, MI is seeking a Prepared Foods Associate to service and fulfill customer orders at the prepared foods counter, delivering friendly, knowledgeable assistance.

You will prepare and package products, assist with orders, price merchandise, stock items, and maintain a clean, safe work area while delivering excellent service.

This non-exempt position reports to the Prepared Foods Manager and joins a team that values quality, community, and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Culinary or food service experience preferred.
• Ability to write legibly and read with comprehension.
• Proper phone etiquette when taking orders.
• Ability to effectively communicate between peers.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and packages product as directed.
• Assists customers with orders placed.
• Properly prices merchandise.
• Stocks and rotates merchandise as directed.
• Maintains current knowledge of product.
• Maintains clean and organized work area free of hazards.
• Provides exceptional customer service in a timely and professional manner.
• Abides by Westborn Market’s time and attendance policy.
• Keeps a positive and helpful attitude during length of shift.
• Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
• Samples product at the direction of the department manager.
