Westborn Market in Berkley, MI seeks a Prepared Foods Associate to service and fulfill customer orders at the prepared foods counter, delivering professional, knowledgeable service. This role primarily involves closing/evening shifts and requires strong product knowledge to assist customers.

You will work with the Prepared Foods team, pricing and stocking merchandise, while maintaining a clean, safe work area and following attendance policies.

Qualifications

• This role favors candidates with culinary or food service experience.
• Ability to write legibly and read with comprehension relevant to this position.
• Proper phone etiquette while taking orders and messages.
• Ability to effectively communicate between peers.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and packages product as directed.
• Assists customers with orders placed.
• Properly prices merchandise.
• Stocks and rotates merchandise as directed.
• Maintains current knowledge of product.
• Maintains clean and organized work area free of hazards.
• Provides exceptional customer service in a timely and professional manner.
• Abides by Westborn Market’s time and attendance policy.
• Keeps a positive and helpful attitude during length of shift.
• Performs miscellaneous job‑related duties as assigned.
• Samples product at the direction of the department manager.
