Job Responsibilities
- Maintain food quality standards without variation; maintain high standards of food safety and sanitation; and maintain all equipment in good working order.
- Supervise prepared food team members to achieve maximum production and efficiency when the Prep Foods Team Leader/Manager is not present.
- Assist the Prep Foods Team Leader/Manager in controlling operating expenses and achieving budgeted food and labor costs; understand P&L/LOB reports.
- Manage department team members by writing schedules and work assignments, and enforcing all company policies.
- Increase profits by supporting in-store ads, sampling, and special events. Be aware of competitors in the area.
- Organize and maintain all food storage areas in accordance with health and safety requirements, including labeling, code dating, cross-contamination prevention, and temperature control.
- Maintain accurate department records for review during audits.
- Analyze Customer Satisfaction Survey and Mystery Shopper reports to identify areas for improvement. Collaborate with the Prepared Foods Team Leader/Manager to coach team members accordingly.
- Ensure proper procedures are followed to meet out-of-stock percentage goals.
- Promote continuous development of team members and identify candidates for the Management Development Program.
- Prepare food for customers by cooking, frying, and grilling, including prep work such as chopping, dicing, and slicing.
- Read recipes and follow instructions accurately.
- Set up Gourmet food cases and maintain displays throughout the day.
- Package, weigh, and display food for the Grab and Go case, routinely checking product dates.
- Engage in suggestive selling with product knowledge, and sample products for customers.
