Job summary

Blackhawk Mining, LLC in West Virginia seeks a hands-on Maintenance Technician to diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems on preparation-plant equipment. You will energize and de-energize equipment, interpret complex schematics, and execute preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.

Strong PLC experience and the ability to pass technical tests are required. You will maintain maintenance records, follow lock-out/tag-out procedures, and perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of surface maintenance experience.
• Ability to pass electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic tests.
• PLC experience required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose malfunctioning electrical, mechanical and hydraulic components on preparation plant equipment.
• Maintain and repair down equipment, ensuring quick turnarounds.
• Lock-out/tag-out power sources during maintenance.
• Maintain records of repairs, maintenance activities, and work orders.
• Read and interpret complex blueprints and electrical/hydraulic schematics.
• Comply with operating procedures for electrical power distribution installations.
• Know how to energize and operate surface mining equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
