Job Description

Located in Pagosa Springs, CO, The Springs Resort and Spa is seeking a dedicated Prep / Line Cook to join our kitchen team. This role involves preparing ingredients, cooking dishes to standard, and maintaining a clean workstation. Ideal candidates thrive in fast-paced environments, work well under pressure, and are passionate about food.

Responsibilities
Prep Cook Duties
  • Wash, peel, chop, dice, and portion ingredients as directed.
  • Prepare sauces, stocks, and other foundational components.
  • Label, store, and rotate ingredients following FIFO principles.
  • Assist in receiving and storing deliveries.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of prep areas and equipment.
Line Cook Duties
  • Cook and plate dishes according to recipes and standards.
  • Work efficiently at designated stations (grill, sauté, fry, pantry).
  • Keep workstations clean and organized.
  • Coordinate with team members for smooth service.
  • Monitor food quality and make adjustments as needed.
  • Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines.
Minimum Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality management degree preferred.
  • Experience in food preparation or kitchen roles preferred.
  • Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills.
  • Customer service focus and ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
