Job summary

Gyu-Kaku in Chicago seeks a friendly Cook to join our kitchen team. The role is hourly and focuses on prep, cooking, and assembling appetizers and entrees with attention to quality and hygiene.

You will perform food preparation, maintain supplies and equipment, and keep work areas clean. Candidates should have basic cooking skills, basic English, and be available to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Basic culinary skills or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of general sanitary and safety practices.
• Able to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Performs food preparation & cooking duties including meat, salad, appetizers, entrees, desserts, etc.
• Ensures a proper supply of clean dishware, pots, pans, and cooking/serving utensils are available
• Cleans work areas and all equipment used in food preparation
