Job summary

Just Salad is seeking PrepStaff to join our back-of-house team in our Fort Lauderdale location. You will prep ingredients according to recipes and our standards, support food quality, and contribute to sustainability goals.

We value reliability, a willingness to learn, and great teamwork. Early morning availability is required, and training is provided to set you up for success in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Prep all JS items to recipe cards and specs.
• Correct usage of oven, per recipes.
• Make sure all products day dotted as prepared.
• Follow and understand all sanitation procedures.
• Wear a cut glove whenever using a knife.
• Clean/organize the walk-in refrigerator.
• Complete prep in required time to come to work on front line.
• Keep kitchen area clean and organized.

Under the general direction of the Kitchen Team Leader (Just Salad’s Kitchen Managers),PrepStaff will focus on following all our food specs and preparing our ingredients in the back of house of our operations. In line with Just Salad’s mission to make everyday health and sustainability possible, you will also support initiatives to reduce Just Salad’s environmental footprint.

PrepStaff Reports to:Store’s Kitchen Team Leader and/or Chef

We are looking for people who:

• Makefollowing recipesandfood qualityatop priority
• Are open tolearningandfollowing(great leaders learn to follow first)
• Arewilling to adaptin a growing and ever changing environment
• Early morning availabilityrequired

PrepStaff’s Daily Responsibilities:

• Prepall JS items to recipe cards and specs
• Correct usage of oven, per recipes
• Makes sure all products day dotted as prepared
• Follow and understand all sanitation procedures
• Wears a cut glove whenever using a knife
• Clean/organize the walk-in refrigerator
• Completeprepin required time to come to work on front line
• Keep kitchen area clean and organized

Job Requirements

• Able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds
• Moving continuously throughout a shift
• Climb stairs
• Maintain a high degree of pace and intensity throughout shift
• Read, comprehend and follow spec book and follow recipe materials
• Clearly and professionally communicate with Restaurant Team Leader, Kitchen Team Leader and other team members
• Follow all Just Salad Safety and Health Department Policies, Procedures and Standards
