Job summary

Just Salad is seeking PrepStaff to join our back-of-house team under the Kitchen Team Leader. You will follow recipes, maintain food quality, and prep ingredients daily while supporting environmental initiatives.

Responsibilities include prepping items to cards, proper oven use, sanitation, and keeping the kitchen clean. Training is provided, with opportunities for growth and daily pay access.

Qualifications

• Able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
• Move continuously throughout a shift and climb stairs.
• Read, comprehend and follow spec book and recipes.
• Communicate clearly with team leaders and team members.
• Follow safety, sanitation and health policies.

Responsibilities

• Prep all Just Salad items to recipe cards and specs.
• Use oven per recipes and maintain day’s prep as directed.
• Keep kitchen area clean and organized and walk-in stocked.
• Adhere to sanitation procedures and wear glove when using knives.
• Support daily prep to ensure front-line readiness.

Under the general direction of the Kitchen Team Leader (Just Salad’s Kitchen Managers),PrepStaff will focus on following all our food specs and preparing our ingredients in the back of house of our operations. In line with Just Salad’s mission to make everyday health and sustainability possible, you will also support initiatives to reduce Just Salad’s environmental footprint.

PrepStaff Reports to:Store’s Kitchen Team Leader and/or Chef

We are looking for people who:

• Makefollowing recipesandfood qualityatop priority
• Are open tolearningandfollowing(great leaders learn to follow first)
• Arewilling to adaptin a growing and ever changing environment
• Early morning availabilityrequired

PrepStaff’s Daily Responsibilities:

• Prepall JS items to recipe cards and specs
• Correct usage of oven, per recipes
• Makes sure all products day dotted as prepared
• Follow and understand all sanitation procedures
• Wears a cut glove whenever using a knife
• Clean/organize the walk-in refrigerator
• Completeprepin required time to come to work on front line
• Keep kitchen area clean and organized

Job Requirements
